CAA Pyramid Awards
In 1998, CAA introduced our Pyramid Awards. This annual awards program recognizes Canadian automobile manufacturers for their achievements in overall vehicle satisfaction (as rated by Canadian motorists) and for automotive safety features or programs.
CAA also recognizes our responsibility to educate motorists on ways they can make a difference in preserving our environment for future generations by driving safely and driving clean. This is why, in 2003, CAA added the category of Environmental Initiatives to our Pyramid Awards program. Any company that sells or manufactures vehicles in Canada is eligible for the Pyramid Awards for either a single initiative or a collection of initiatives. A panel of judges, experts in the environmental sector, review each submission and select a winner that has shown a commitment to the environment.
Since 2003, one Canadian automotive vehicle manufacturer has been recognized each year for a bold and innovative initiative toward the goal of reducing the impact of automobiles on the environment.
