CAA / Pollution Probe Three Point Plan
CAA and Pollution Probe have partnered to develop a report on climate change. The report is an interdisciplinary examination of how mobility and roads impact climate change, and what we can do to slow the process. A core element in the report is to encourage a reduction in emissions produced by burning fuel.
The amount of fuel burned depends on three primary factors:
- the way people drive automobiles and use transportation options
- the condition of the road
- the fuel efficiency of automobiles
CAA and Pollution Probe advise an Eco-Mobility approach to address each of these factors. Eco-Mobility is about changing our approach to automobile use and transportation to better support the environment.
CAA and Pollution Probe have a three-point Eco-Mobility plan for our government:
- Eco-Driving (fuel conserving driving habits, use of more efficient transportation options)
- Safer Roads (safer roads and highways that lead to safer, more efficient motoring)
- Fuel Efficient Automobiles (improving automobile fuel efficiency reduces emissions)
