Senior Drivers and Highway Design

Senior Drivers and Highway Design is a new report from CAA that examines the causes of senior drivers' collisions and possible infrastructure-based solutions that can be used to address these collisions. The report includes an extensive literature review summary as well as a summary of interviews with key traffic safety stakeholders. The report was authored and prepared for the CAA by leading research experts at Human Factors North, a consulting firm.

CAA’s Statement of Policy is a comprehensive document that provides CAA’s views on such topics such as transportation facilities, taxation, vehicle standards, consumer needs, operating regulations, traffic safety and education, enforcement, tourism, and the environment.
Short-term Licence Suspensions for Drinking Drivers
(2007)
This report provided an evaluation of the short-term suspension law in the province of Saskatchewan. Short-term licence suspensions provide the police with the authority to suspend immediately, for a period of 24 hours, the licence of any driver who has a BAC in excess of 0.04%. The report was funded by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety (AAA FTS) and was prepared for the AAA FTS by researchers at the Traffic Injury Research Foundation.
Driving Towards a Cleaner Environment – A Healthier Future

This report examined elements of eco-driving, better and safer roads, and improved automobile fuel efficiency. This report discusses these three elements as integrated and concurrent items that as a combined whole can be used to make strides towards a cleaner environment. The report was prepared and authored by CAA and Pollution Probe.

International Conference on Distracted Driving: Summary of Proceedings and Recommendations

This report integrates and summarizes key information from the presentations given at the International Conference on Distracted Driving, which was organized by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) and the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) and sponsored by 17 government and private sector agencies, bringing together over 100 delegates from Canada, the United States, and abroad. The report was authored by researchers at the Traffic Injury Research Foundation and Highway Safety North. Safer Drivers in Safer Vehicles on Safer Roads
